What a remarkable year 2012 was for us as professional Nigerian photographers. Since the transition to StudioMO, things have just gone really fast and we owe it all to the almighty God.
Our Studio has been very busy.
We finally moved into our studio facility in Magodo GRA in Lagos which by the way is only open for special projects
Remember most of all my photography talk and blog post can now be found on our new StudioMO photography website here, I simply update this page just to let you guys know the Xsightn brand lives on but now as StudioMO.
Here’s a quick round up of somethings we are doing at the studio.
Below are some pictures from our last wedding of the year, the wedding of Bukky and Lekan which took place in Ikeja just over the weekend. The couple are based in Ireland and came home to tie the knots. It was a truely colourful expereince and we wish the couple a very happy married life together. Nigerian weddings are our thing, so if you have someone out of the country coming home soon to get married here in Nigeria be sure to recommend us to them, just direct them to our website and we will take it from there. or share our email info@studiomo.com.ng with them.
The pictures from the wedding below I shot entirely with a Nikon 70-200 lens and trust me when I say I didn’t miss the other lens, it all takes knowing your equipment like the back of your hands and knowing how each gear you own as Nigerian photographers would perform under different lighting conditions even without shooting test shots. Not a single image from this session was shot below iso 2000 with quite a lot even shot at iso 5000 and above. No flash was used. There are not many cameras out there than can get away with shooting useable iso 5000 and above images, so the quality of the equipment is also very important. There is a picture of me down there too which was taken by my wife at the event, hope you guys even know what I look like o…
I recently was in New York for two weeks attending film school. Fimmaking is something that we have seriously being getting interested in, the creative and expressive potentials of video as a medium are quite remarkable. I spent about two weeks in New York learning from some of the top names in the industry. We are back home with all the very top gear we need to make cinema quality productions so be sure to watch this space. This year we were also on official photography assignment in London, South Africa, Atlanta(USA) the UAE and the Gambia.
Our very first wedding photography assignment for 2013 is billed to hold in the Republic of Benin, a destination wedding to start the new year is always an awesome thing. 2013 is already looking like a lot more international engagement for two of Nigeria’s leading photographers (us of course)
There is so much to talk about regarding our photography but head out to our new page and catch up on everything yourself.
Below are the pictures I promised you.
